Why would they be shorting their own stock? Any ideas

how do you know he's shorting ?? he may be closing an existing long position ??

the annual report will give you the directors exposure to the stock .. from that date you deduct all sales and see if they are still in positive or gone negative (which would be short) ..

Last year the directors went long at prices up to R350. Now they are selling at R150. Ouch
