Why would they be shorting their own stock? Any ideas

how do you know he's shorting ?? he may be closing an existing long position ??

the annual report will give you the directors exposure to the stock .. from that date you deduct all sales and see if they are still in positive or gone negative (which would be short) ..

So the questions is : You lost money (serious money in this instance), and now you are selling, so what is the expected outlook for the share price going forward? Does the director know something? Or is he just in desperate need of cash? This could be a something going bump in the night or maybe just .....
