Why is IMP down by more than twice the drop in plat. price?

The percentage profit drop on the margin IMP makes after their costs came out is significantly more than the percentage the price droped, hence shares generally more volatile than their corresponding commodities.

Also profit taking after a good rise last week. Imp move from R310 to R344 last week.
