Looks like our 25% electricity increase this month will be used to pay increased wages, housing subsidies, management bonuses, SWC tickets, etc. How much will be left for the real purpose of the increase in funding ESCOM's capex program. Now the workers threaten to embark on an illegal strike. All of this while we are in the final phase of the SWC and all the visitors to our country are loving it here. What a mess and I hope ESCOM do not spoil the party for everyone.
