ETF New Gold

Can anybody explain to me why gold has had such a good run lately yet the the performance of this ABSA ETF does not reflect this inrease?

The ABSA EFT is a reflection of the Gold price in Rands. The rand/dollar exchange rate has been offsetting increases in the dollar gold price.
