U2 hero Bono's presence at old Bishop Tutu's celebration reminds of his moving performance at the Hyde Park concert in aid (forgive the pun)of AIDS orphans. At the time he theatrically slowly clapped his hands above his head, shouting "Every time I clap my hands, a little child dies in Africa!" Upon which, after a solemn subdued participation of the tearful audience, a Scotsman in his deep thundering voice piped (also here, forgive the pun) up "Then bloody well stop doing it then, mon, are you mad?!"
