please explain how to get out of a futures trade. I place my sale at current offer price as shown, yet no takers? As there are offers, I dont understand?

you are closing a long position? So you need to sell the number of contracts you have. As such the dec 07 contract has the best bid (buyer) at 1402c (on the SSF) and you are sellign at 1430c. If you put them on sell at this price you will trade out (depending on volume).
