schizo, I think you have your ratios upside down. It was reward/risk that was 0.2, not risk/reward.

Be careful I have heard if you win through Euromillions they hold onto the money and pay you out monthly over a number of years (Who gets the interest ?). After I heard that, I searched and went to theLotter.com ( which seems to be a very reputable UK business offering a choice of many big lotteries including Euromillions) I read all their rules and they pay out the full amount in one go a few days after you win.

I will be very angry if I only get R20 000 000-00 a month for the next 50 months.

The expected pay-off, probability of winning x Prize is way less than R45. In other words, the risk-to-reward is not worth it. How do you think the lotto makes money?

Russ, Its R 58-00. ( Well it was when I played last night ). Didnt win anything, but I see it rolled over again, so I will definitly be in it next week. I dont care if the odds are zip. Someone has to win it, and lets face it you cant buy a chance at a Billion Rand for 60 bucks anywhere else. It was on their news sometime back that someone from SA had in fact won the UK Lottery via the site.
