I heard someone the other day who said that while higher inflation and Interest rates are generally bad for retailersthere are exeptions like Massmart. Reason? Is it because mainstream retailers will become more expensive and places like massmart who sell in bulk (i.e. Makro) will become a more popular alternative? I-Net has this one on a BUY... what do my other formites think?
Massmart,PicknPay , Metcash (trade centre) generally excel under food inflation condition. Remember a percentage of their revenue is derived from stock turnover ie rebates. All i say is that you should capitalise on these condition.
