A team of researchers from the UK and US have used a large set of Google Trends data to uncover early warning signs of stockmarket moves. In a paper published in the journal Scientific Reports today, Tobias Preis of Warwick Business School, Helen Susannah Moat of University College London, and H. ya the article also said that searches for the words colour and restaurant seemed to be better predictors of market behavious

And the word wine would mean going sidewayst....the short wine drinkers cancell out the long wine drinkers...I should send that data to the researchers becos the Holy Grail lies in predicting a FLAT market

Sell in May has worked since 1694 but then the scientist who posits this is a Kiwi - but I still think that waiting till St Leger Day to return to the market errs on the cautious side of things.
