Hi,Just some thoughts on the subject.Union bosses bluster,as they have to show the subs they collect are put to good use and that members are getting their moneys worth,as members cannot but help to notice the opulence in which their leaders live.Plats settled last time before a strike took place and i've a feeling it will be settled again as the present strike leaders are not so bolshe as we think.Probably the unions will settle for eight percent and sell it to their members with many add-ons which they can tell their members takes it up to double figures. If we remember these negoiations take place every two years then its a good deal. The one rider for the next two years of course would be a stable Rand.Things would go really wrong then if the Rand did weaken rapidly.Gold is a different kettle of fish entirely as the mines can't even afford any increase.Strikes are likely there,so i avoid all gold shares.
