Did MTN's CEO have insider info 8 months ago on the Bharti deal as he has been fevershily buying shares on all the dips. Strange to think not, and the two months later Bharti is announced as a suitor

yip, CEO is most inside you can get, that's why some people think its good to look what executives are doing with share purchases... its one of the legal 'insider trading' transactions provided they announce it correctly, etc.

Go back to see when he sold 9M MTN shares at R153 (a few days before the deal was called off) ... if that was not inside trading not sure what is... But JSE did nothing about it! So moral of the story ... buy/sell when Phuthuma does! Problem os Directors dealings only reflected a day or two after transaction.
