I reckon. Better on the eyes than an LCD screen, uses less battery so can be used for ages without charging, books can be read on iPhone/Android/PC/iPad if you change devices later, get your book within a couple minutes instead of a week or two, carry all books with you on holiday.

Get a sansa audio player, subscribe to Audible.com and listen to books read to you while you drive/work/sit on the john.

As you know usually less than 30sec. download. Is your internet sevice provider okay? Never had this sort of problem. Good luck.
