Hi How do you know if the last 30 trades are purchases or sales. They do not say on the page. Is there a way you can know. Thanks

I think he means, who initiated the transaction, the buyer or the seller.... ie did a buyer meet a sell order, or did a seller meet a buy order.

Yes they are both, but the question could be rephrased to ask whether, at each transaction, the deal was a buyer of an offer to sell or a seller into a bid to buy, thus indicating a strengthening or softening of the price.

generally if the price is dropping,more people are sellers and vice versa.

The VWAP chart above the last 30 trades gives one a fair indication, simply approx the time of trade on the graph. Positive volumes x price = up, negative volumes x price = down. At least I think so

if u trading for a while,u will know if it was a buy or sell.learn to study a share u trading.everything of it,thats right down to demand and supply etc.only time will teach u ....so good luck

Every trade is a buy and a sell. If there is more buying pressure, the offers will get hit and prices will rise. More selling pressure the bids will get hit and prices fall. Nothing more complicated than that. Each transaction has a willing buying and a willing seller.
