I just want to confirm. If one holds a share on the last day to trade and sells it the next day, one still receives the dividend, right?

yes, the LDT is usually a friday and on the monday you should see the dividend amount reflected in your account. You can sell the shares on the monday, you'll notice the price has dropped.

With all due respect, you have been on this forum long enough to know the answer to your question, if not you should put your invest your money in a bank, before you and your money start drifting apart.

Nah boet - I have been known to ask this question from time to time. I think I might have bought it up again a couple of months ago. Now that the message is re-inforced, I will hold off for a couple of months - until I forget again!
