Use divergence (buy or sell)Know your entry level. Know and stick to the amount you are prepared to lose before you admit that you are wrong (2% at any time of the day except your entry day). Watch the market opening: if it opens high and you are long, watch out; if it opens low and you are short: watch out. Take a small loss before it grows too big to take, you can always go back if the stock starts to behave correctly but only at your previous entry level. Start small and add to your winning trades using the 50-30-20 rule. Dont watch the market the whole day. Do not subscribe to SBK technical analysis they are usually wrong and take too long to cut a losing trade. Watch the stock for at least 3 days to get a feel of how it trades before you enter. Avoid illiquid stocks. Avoid stock trading for less than R5 they are down there for a reason. Stick to SSF. Never close a winning trade merely to take a profit.Only close a winning trade if the stock starts to behave abnormally but take a small profit at 10% gain.
