NUM will nationalise?

This morning on safm talk I heard that NUM wanted mines nationalised. If Julius Malema does not have enough clout to do it NUM could have, or is there some reason they would not have a lot of clout. What if they went on strikes, etc. I would like to see a blog or Yahoo group with people putting reasons for or not nationalising. Seems NUM says the people should benefit (beneficiation?) and others say the Gov cannot run mines well. What about a blog on this?
