Thought Purple was a punt at 23 c a couple of months ago - luckily i sold out half my holding at 23 c after their lousy results came out last week -they have flattered to deceive too many times !!!!!!

Yip, you should always be suspicious of a company that makes up its earnings through accounting tricks. Typical line items to watch out for are things like 'fair value adjustments'. These guys more than double their turnover and still make an operational loss - what does that tell you about their business model? Google Piotroski, if you are looking for a sound strategy for investing in low book to market stocks or penny shares.
