compare that to 9000 listed equities in the US markets and about 1400 in australia. South africa is a tiny sliver of a big pie. Private equity and Foreign takeovers going to make the jse non tradeable in time

Would be interesting. We dont allow SPACS or cash shells which are allowed on many exchanges.

A lot of the small companies I was invested in "for the long haul" have been delisted for one reason or another. As soon as there is real value - the company gets snapped up or taken private or... As if our market isn't small enough already.
