Just going through the Forbes list of 40 richest Africans and listed at #31 is Jannie Mouton with $300 mil. This is part of what they state in his bio: - "He chairs and is a major investor in Curro, a chain of independent schools for underprivileged young Africans". Well now, at R 2800 per learner per month in Curro schools, I guess underprivilaged young Africans are pretty privilaged or else I'm just used to very little in life. Funny stuff.

I then wonder if that is underpriviledged, how are the priviledged doing?

Interesting - Recurring theme among Africa's richest: Banking, Telecomms, Retail, Cement, Mining, Realestate. Odd ones out: Luxury goods (Rupert & Family). Less oil than expected on the list. Maybe a good indicator as to where to put your money for the long haul. I don't expect this list to change that much in the next five years.

Forgot to mention the other odd one out: Stephan Saad (Pharmaceuticals)

Tomorrow's ten-bagger blue chips will most likely come from these same sectors.
