Used to be,i'm afraid the internet ease of trading has spoilt me.Examplse of past trades; bought Ned at R9.. sold at R168 before it crashed.Amplats was consolidated from the seperate parts at R9 sold R500....Always kept PLS and Puts from the day they were first listed...kinda glad i sold out at the beginning of the year as they fell on average 40%.HOW EVER i now intend holding property for at least five years. Also hold JSE permanently.Mostly i hold dividend payers till after the LDT dates.

Barry do you keep separate accounts for long-term investing vs short-term trading for SARS' purposes? First year of being involved in investing / trading shares and don't know what to expect next year assessment time.
