The annual percentage change in the PPI is higher at +19,1% at August 2008 (i.e. the PPI at August 2008 compared with that at August 2007). The Producer Price Index (PPI) for domestic output shows an annual rate of change of 19,1%at August 2008 (i.e. the PPI at August 2008 compared with that at August 2007). This rate is 0,2 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 18,9% at July 2008 (i.e. the PPI at July 2008 compared with that at July 2007).

The monthly rate of increase slowed to 0.5 percent in August from 2.7 percent in July.
