i seemed to notice that preference share prices have fallen, or at least some shares, can someone tell me or point me to a resource on what drives preference share prices as opposed to the normal share prices, i see that they differ considerably. thanks

prefs should start at the issue price (say R100) and the only movement in price should be as every day passes the value should increase by the days div earned. Then when the div is paid every quarter it'll drop back to the R100 start point. But as market forces drive the price it does sometimes get out of kilta.
