I have been considering investing in preference shares the last while, but I do not want to buy them until I am 100% sure how it works. Is the dividend fixed or should you estimate the dividend you will receive based on historical values, similar to the usual dividend? What are the main factors that influence the price movement of a preference share? Any other important considerations that I should make before a purchase, please let me know. Chris
