Cents. Every evening, the JSE publishes the MTM value. SFM then calculates your profit or loss as the difference between the previous and current MTM values. The cash is then deposited/withdrawn from your account (look at the variation margin entries in your account). The next morning you start in the red again since the best bid/offer will always be worst than the previous MTM value. Don't look too much at the daily profit/loss value. Look at the movement of the underlying and your total profit/loss value.
