Sale of Vergenoeg

Sometimes I don't understand shareholder sentiment. MTX has sold a 15% stake in this business for R108m. Vergenoeg generates about R90m EBITDA per annum, which means that MTX has sold 15% for a PE of about 13 times earnings - last years earnings nogal. i don't know when MTX traded even close to this PE. At face value this is a great deal (for MTX) - can't imagine why shareholders don't think so too?

I am still waiting for a reply from investor relations. i was curious to know which non core assets the company is thinking of investing in. im worried that should i decide to invest in the company, the stock ends up droping in value due to the selling of these assets. Im still trying to decide which offers the best growth and future dividends, MRF or MTX. Metorex seems to be winning the race tho, with its more diversified approach etc, but i will post a topic on this once im done with ma research
