They have sorted it outabit though since previous. They use live prices as opposed to previous years when they used 15 min delayed prices. This meant I could watch my live prices and trade accordingly. Also you need to hold for seven days now, they say they implemented this to discourage traders - all i would do is move to weekly charts. But yes a bit pointless, everyone at work is in it, none of them trade with real cash, all think they're quite savvy now because they're "trading". All I say is try doing it with 1 mil of your own money. PS in Reallife, you cant reset your portfolio if you lose everything.
An interesting competition as they only allow you to trade a share after a week. This is a twist in the tail as you have to consider all possibilities before buying into a share. Good trading experiance for longer term holds. Not your everyday future trading. Needs different skills for this one. Hey, what a heck, you could land up with the R100,000 after 4months, enjoy a breakaway to whereever and use the rest for futures. Use this opportunity to streamline some of my strategies. Enjoy it.
Lol taken from the site: Telkom tried to upgrade the line to Sanlam in Cape Town and managed to break their network cards. We currently have no connection to the JSE, no share codes and no prices. We are as frustrated and apologise. We also do not receive e-mails. For real trading, not virtual, please call Gerhard or Jacques on 011 778 6600.
