Search function re:chat forum

Okay so only the last 30 thread are visible, or I can click on the name of the guy that started the thread and search for it that way. But what if I am looking for a thread and can't remember who started it. If people reply to a specific thread and I go that route, i can only see there replies and not the whole thread. Any ideas how to overcome this?

It is stupid to say something when you have nothing to say just to be able to search, don't you think? Simon, can we PLEASE have a basic search functionality? At least for a date (range), name of the person, as well as specific string within the text of the post. Lots of posts mention specific shares in the text but are not posted under the share name, and there is no way you can find them again.

Oh while we are on the subject, how about date of the post displaying a YEAR, not only day and month. Some of the posts for the shares are so old one does not know if they were posted May 2007 or May 2006...

Hi Preston, I tried that, but I still can't see the topic. Looks like if I reply to a specific reply it doesn't get updated. Don't know what will happen if I reply to the original topic, but that would be pointless, because that is what I'm looking for.

Second alternative , there is a functionality called "Contact us". If you can remember the day and the topic name, i am assuming that OST personnel can reinstate that topic. Hope this help..
