Share Instalments

Simon, please remind me how share instalment works. Assuming I buy a share instalment for 500c for a share trading at 1000c, and expiry of the instalment is 31 December for example. If the share is trading at 1200c at expiry, how much would I have to pay if I want to take delivery of the share.

at expirey you DO NOT have to pay the final instalment. If you want to you will pay the strike price (set at issue). In your example it ould be R5 (R10 less R5). But you could just sell (teh instalment would be worth R7 = R12-R5). Further you could just "roll" it intot he next series of instalments expiring a year later.

They are covered in our onlien warrants course, under help and education.
