Well it looks like the Village people like the SIM deal as their share price is up by 16% so far today. The SIM shareholders see their investment given away. On the 1st Sept 2010 at the Macquarie Miners from the Frontiers Conference the CEO stated that SIM had a DCF value of R4.76 per share and that the current 90cps is a steal. Nudge nudge wink wink Mr Chairman. Then who is Mr Swanepoel representing as chairman of SIM. The SIM shareholders? Is there a conflict of interest here?

I suppose mr Swanepoel is a shareholder himself. I would be inclined to speculate that it will be a matter of taking care of his own and his friends' personal (job) interest.

Interesting this person resigned: "due to increased work-related commitments, Ms Sindi Mabaso-Koyana has tendered her resignation as director of the company with effect from 24 November 2010." As an independent non-exec she must have a real busy schedule.
