Simon, just wondering when you design a mechanical system do you consider the charts when exiting? I.e. If the system is 7/21 cross over exit on stop loss, do you try to 'read' the market.
I just find its extremely hard to test a system with this cause theres always a reason to exit (e.g. hammers, bullish tails, support and resistance).

When designing a system do you simply keep to the same rules regardless of what the market is telling you?
