well, it has been sliding for weeks before that - so a single day's move vs several weeks decline? Anyways, as a strategy I tend to buy in these situations. My rationale is that the bad news is anticipated when stocks decline before earnings - so if the earnings are better than expected, you get big moves. The reciprocal also applies -

Agreed..... The policy of buying in on dips has certainly worked for me with Naspers...
