If you're holding Standard Bank, it's always nice to see the CEO buying R2,000,000.00 worth of shares in his own Company, espicially when there is such a big meeting on Monday for the approval of the China deal. PIC with 15% has said they are for the deal so, so far so good, might be worth a punt!!!!

you will loose 11% at price of R136. i assume, this deal will only happen feb next year and SAFEX will decide the process.

patch1, no. Only 11% sell at R136 and as it is only 11% the price could be anything come feb. You're confusing this deal with a take over deal wherevby all shares get bought at a price. here only a limited number are purchased at that price, so the overall effect is reduced. Is it a buy, well the experts rates it a buy with a target of R131
