Technical Analysis Software

Hi Does any one have any advice on good technical analysis software. I am looking for charting software that has basic indicators such as Simple Moving Average, Exponential Moving Average etc. at least and software that I can update with data one a day or so (downloaded from the web somewhere). Also, excuse my ignorance but is there software that could cater for different exchanges? e.g. FTSE, LSE, JSE etc. Thanks

yes, it's probably the best charting software around. But if you want live prices, you're going to pay a bundle for metastock pro. It's around R14k for pro, and about R5k for the regular version. But if you only want simple charting software with end of day prices, rather use the charts you get here for free. Works perfectly. Bigcharts.com also has good charting tools for most south african and international stocks and indices.

The best setup I've come across is quotetracker. You setup your data feed from the JSE and get historical data for daily charts from bigcharts for free. Let me know how it goes.
