If all thing remained equal, then Telkom share was trading at R169 prior to the announcement. Given the state of the global market a drop of R25 eqaute to a 14% decrease in value. I think it is more in line with the value of all other share that have decreases over this time. Remember it results was also not impressive. I would expect a slightly further drop.

Although negotiations have run aground, what would the effect of a sell off of their 50% stake in Vodacom do for their share price? I suppose it would depend on how good a deal they do? I certainly wouldn't want Telkom after the disposal....
