The Ascent of Money

Am reading the Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson. A pretty good and informative book, I think which provides a heap of insight into the sub-prime crisis. Interestingly the author seems to have the same debate with his wife, regarding the prosepctive merits and demerits of share investing and property investing that this forum has. While she favours property, he seems to favour stocks, and mainly, from what I can garner, is a liquidity point of view. I do wish he provided some sort of short cut keys to all the acronyms used.

The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis also provides a fascinating perspective of the events that lead to the sub-prime crisis and the enigmatic players that profited from it.
