I was checking the agl chart this morning. You caould ahve got them at R100 in march 2003, and below r150 just 2 years ago!!!! now R435.15!

Exactly Mate. I bought My first AGL at R149 in may 2005 I recon I will give a big fat wet Kiss to anybody who has outperfromed (with his whole portfolio)this mega share over the last couple of years.

PS John - do you remember the cyclic pattern you saw a couple of months ago: pullback in the 2 weeks period before futures closeout happens more often than not. What's yr opinion for this round, futures close in just over 2 weeks? No long trades?

Hi there John There is no better feeling than when you start making money.. I bought BHP at R166.66 (est breakeven with brokerage cost). I held about 2 week ,got incredible frustrated and sold. The day i sell, share starts making good gains.

Mammon it was between 5-2 weeks out. and the best time to buy was in the week just after the closeout. I have spent the last year with only a fraction of my holding exposed to the market fearing a pull back that basically has never come, my last fear was China bleeding into our market but as it has not I am very bullish.

John I know you are happy, but I reckon you are overdoing it a bit with the kissing part. Although I admire your market insights I certainly don't want a kiss (assuming 60% CAGR over 5 yrs qualify?)

OK John, my entire portfolio has outperformed AGL since 30 June 2005 (only keep quarter end mark to markets of my portflio) - 210% versus 180%. No I don't want a kiss - as I said before you may be overdoing it with the kissing offer

50% in one day....dreamy stuff,but I doubt that will happen.Nah,just Super-print HyperInflation = Higher Values,reflecting currency-destruction( and in this regard,doing quite well, as at.).But I shall raise that Flag for..MAJOR CORRECTION in the air.
