Any tool out there that can assist in deciding which/when one should buy/sell for either short/long term

There are any number of charting / TA programs, ranging in price (and performance). I am using SPA3, which is a combined charting and gives buy / sell calls based on your pre-set criteria. Others on this forum use other systems.

Am a beginner, currently using watchlists, how do I make it effective, how about Easy Trader, is it worth the R99.00 subscription

pick a few shares and study them, you will know when they offer values. relying solely on some tool is not always the answer.
