Why would I receive the following message when I place an order to purchase below the market price, with more than enough funds to complete the purchase in my account: "•Cannot place an order to buy more than 836 share(s) or less than 1 share" - so I'm unable to place a order above this amount of shares The Approx. nr of shares to buy = 836 on the trading screen

If its a derivative account its because your cash balance changes when the shares go lower meaning your cash in account changes/updates when you hit submit so you got to lower the amount of shares.
