Triggering of an alert.

Hi, does anyone know about price alert triggers. I had one set which triggered outside of trading hours at 8.33. Does this happen? If so it seems pointless to do a long term trigger as it would trigger while people are setting up their trades and not necessarily actual market prices. So it would be an idea to set just during trading hours? Of course with our less than satisfactory cell phone services I didn't receive the SMS. Just noticed it from the quotes balance diminishing.
