I know you did Simon...suppose I am envivious that you (aka SB are making the money with all the stop losses being activated) and people entering new positions (with costs etc etc), whilst us traders are feeling the pressure/stress/costs....

OML wave "c" correction if it occurs will take out your stop loss and will then advance to a high?

You think that its going to double bottom?

don't let your thinking get in the way of your trading .. you got your rules, just trade them .. everything else anywhere else is just noise ..

But what about probababilties and manual or active stop loss management. Stop Loss of 1435 is at the probable wave "C" correction so long on this trade with a stop loss of 1435 may not be a high probability trade. I think the stop loss be adjusted downwards to stay in the trade.I agree exit strategy is important but always a problem being stopped out and share advances in opposite direction. So there must be more to stop losses?

but what happens when you 'adjust' aka ignore your stop loss .. and the share just keeps on falling ??

I agree with one of the earlier comments regarding one possible large bid but if there are good volumes at different levels made up of multiple bids then at least you're assured that there is interest from multiple parties. I would use this info to determine the liquidity of a particular share but not as the basis for making a trade selection. agreed .. thing is the stop is part f the system .. so on myy lazy system I would use the recent intraday low and place it just below .. but with my engulfing I just use 50 point trailing as I need to be able to leave my screen and let the trade run in auto mode .. is 50 ideal, no ways .. but does it enable fire and forget profits, yes ..

Stop losses are for loses if you can't take a minimum 30% hit you should not be playing the market.
