Thanks Rov. But which date has more influence on the share price LDT (10/08/2012) or Act Pay (20/08/2012)? Anothe example is AGL. Similar dates

first trading day after the LDT is what matters

So will I be wrong to say that AGL did not evaporate to much because KIO has played a buffer since AGL is major shareholder and that custioned it

If you bought KIO at opening today you would not receive the dividend, but the guy who held them on LDT (last day to trade) would bank the dividend. Payment date has no influence on the share price whatsoever.At times may see "last day to register", that I find very confusing as it is 5 working days after LDT, be very aware of that, hope it helps you understand the difference between the 3.

Or is it a matter of dividend percentage. AGL is 1% down and KIO is 5% down
