You've got strange attitude: shares are not boring or fun. They are investments.

I agree... in my portfolio I've got a share thats up 30% (down from its 40% high) a share that is on -22% and this share pwk that does nothing one way or the other...(hence the description BORING) My dear H the money I've invested in ost is not "investment" money but money to have fun with... while i'm honing my skills... I want to change my portfolio but am dithering on the -22% share (afo) because I'm waiting for my returns to come when they finally start operating their said reserves...when I believe it'll be a goldmine (pun intended!) Mvl (up 30% currently is the star of my portfolio and I wish I had "invested" more money into it...

Woolies are having a good day too - maybe some of the retailers are startin to look cheap at these levels.

Hey Gida, bit of a late reply, but for what it's worth, the Australian operations (Franklin's) are blooming. If you check out the latest annual report you'll see they're opening more stores and increasing turnover year on year. That combined with fairly decent performance by the Pick n Pay chain I reckon that's what's doing it.
