SimonPB, in a post you commented that you ignore rising wedges; how do you feel about related patterns: sym triagles, ascending/descending triagles/wedges etc...

the only pattern I trade is head an shoulders (an the reverse) and Dow Theory. Many of the others require to much interpretation from the trader and also don't really give good timing points on entry (some worse then others on the last point). That said I know some traders who only trade with patterns - I just never been able to make then make me consistant profit.

agreed - if you go and look at the imperical evidence on probability done by Bulkowski you will see that most patterns have a pretty lousy probability - patterns keep the analysts in bussiness not traders....
