Why the drop in JSE share price yesterday afternoon (after the 2012 budget) of 3% and again today another 1% by 11am?

Think it may have to do with the possible inclusion of securities transfer tax on derivatives, this could have a negative impact on trading volumes. Only under consideration currently nothing concrete.

Also importatnt to note that the JSE is a value play rather than a growth story. Investors are relying ona strong and expanding dividend stream. This will certainly be impacted by the 5%.
