Why Bother with a listing

Why do Mickey Mouse companies like Moneyweb stay listed when they make losses year after year. Surely the cost of being listed must be a big expense in their P&L statement. The share only trades every couple of days.

There are too many companies like this on the JSE. It is also not only loss making companies. Take Indequity for example, don't look at the share price, the company has done nothing over the years to warrant a listing.

delisting not easy nor cheap .. caxton as majority shareholders would need to buy out minorities .. but we getting closer with mny, they have R24m cash when market cap hits about that (20c-24c) then they can offer 25c-30c
