Why do people buy 1 share?EXX

If you look at exx today there has been trades of 1 share at a time. I'm sure it's got something to do with pushing the share price higher or lower but how exactly?

more likely basket trading .. you're not going to move a share of its size with trades of one share ..

at one point there were about 6 consecutive trades of 1 share at the same price. so you say these were made by different people while basket trading? else it would have been cheaper to buy all 6 in one trade as there was sufficient volume at that price? aren't they maybe trying to set off stop loss triggers?

Had 99 but needed 1 more :) maybe only had 76 bucks, maybe was testing the market depth, plenty maybes, plenty basket cases out there lol maybe its one of those spam letter writers haha they only do it to p us off. could also be a newbee unsure of what will happen if he fills in the form and pushes the send button or maybe the 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 buttons on his pc are broken!!!

i think that's very unlikely. especially with so many consecutive trades. there must be another GOOD reason to it. but thanks for the input
