If a company declares two dividends (for eg: Special and Final) both with same LDT, and I sell shares after the LDT date, do I receive both dividends? Can someone tell me why there are 2?

You receive both and special dividend is usually paid as a result of excess cash as a result of a sale of some assets and the special dividend does not form part of the cpy's ongoing dividend policy and will probably not be repeated.

This month there may be more special dividends declared by companies than normal due to the 15% DWT that comes into effect on 1st April.
