I deposited funds (EFT from Investec Bank) this morning. Usually my funds would be available within a few hours of transfer but today OST tells me the funds need a 2 day clearance period. Anyone ever experienced this problem?

A new requirement due to fraud - read in the news at the top left corner of your OST page.

Wonder who (Investec, SB, the client or no-one) gets the interest on the funds during the days the money is "in the air" and cannot be used?

no, the interest will accrue to the account holder, the funds are there but it has not been cleared for use pending verification...anyway, there is more important things to discuss like democracy at work...JUJU,MENZI and now JELEBI...it may be turf war but at least some bodies got turfed
