Why do some warrants traders buy lots of warrants separately eg you buy 500 000 warrants but buy them in 125000*4 . 4 different trades.

NJ, ever heard of a partial order fill? the market and cover ratio dictated how many shares get sold in a trade. If only X shares sell in the underlying then only Y warrants (X times cover ratio) will fill that order. BTW who cares as long as you get your 500K, even if it takes 10 trades on the sme day you still pay a single brokerage....

nothing to do with cover ratio .. the issuer systems usually only have 100k-150k on either side of the spread, so a alarger trade will be multiple hits ..

Tnx Simon, but for sell orders (I am offering/selling to market) I often get small odd amounts filled, till full order is sold, so this must be the side more related to cover ratio etc? Have had many odd amounts filled to make up purchase in the past as well so calculated and assumed it was no. of underlying x cover that filled amount.

ya, spose in a sense .. the issuer is hedging in real time, hence part fill of odd number .. an yes cover ratio is part of that
